Award of OHL and Villar Mir prizes at the Higher Technical School of Civil Engineers

The Villar Mir Group and OHL have awarded prizes to students at the Higher Technical School of Civil Engineers (Madrid), during the academic graduation act for graduate year number 202 at this school of the Polytechnic University of Madrid. The event convened the Honorable Vice-Chancellor of the UPM, Javier Uceda Antolín, the head of the School of Civil Engineers of Madrid, Juan A. Santamera Sánchez, and the Minister of Development, Ana Pastor, amongst other personalities.

The Villar Mir Prize to the best academic record in the Business Organization and Management Chair, with 6,000 Euros, was awarded to Alfonso Casal Álvarez, who collected it from the hands of Julio Iglesias de Ussel, secretary general of the Villar Mir Foundation.

Luis García-Linares, general corporate manager of OHL, awarded a prize to the best project in the General Construction Procedures Chair, with 3,000 euros, for the ”Construction of the Chamartín-Atocha high-speed tunnel”. The prize was received by the authors of the study, the students Ángela Fernández Pino, Belén Martín Martín, Fernando Monasterio Moreno, Raquel María Pérez Laínez, David Rodríguez Gómez and Alejandro Rodríguez Escotto.
