Centro Canalejas Madrid and Four Seasons in support of emerging art

Centro Canalejas Madrid and the Fine Arts School of the Universidad Complutense of Madrid have announced the III Edition of the Visual Arts Contest, directed towards students of this school, and for the first time, students of the Fine Arts Schools in Malaga and Seville. A total of 27 pieces of the 378 presented have received an award in the categories of Photography, Painting, Art on paper and Graphic Art. Each one of them has a prize of 1,000 euros and will form part of the decoration of the Four Season Hotel, located in the Centro Canalejas Madrid.
The initiative, directed towards Fine Arts students of the Universidad Complutense of Madrid and the Fine Arts Schools in Malaga and Seville, who are registered in the present academic course or in any of the last two, as well as any student that is studying a Master’s degree or Doctorate, has resulted in 378 proposals of which 27 have resulted in winners. Of these, 13 are from the school in Madrid, 12 from the school in Malaga and 2 from Seville.

In the category of Photography, the winners are, Amaia Salazar Rodríguez, for her piece Seven Cities; Mª Luisa Asens Del Pozo, for Red; Nerea Garzón Arenas, for Papyrus; Sara Serrano Torrejón, for Nebulae; Celia Cruz Garrido, for Instant Green; Francisco Carneros Rodríguez, for Broken Landscape; Susana Ortigosa Moreno, for Optical Effects, To See or Not To See; Mª José Macías Bermejo, for Mathmatics Don’t Lie, and Jana Díaz Álvarez, for Vertical Horizons.
In the category of Painting, the winners are Alina Carranza Jiménez, for No Title I; Mª Elisa Rivera Armada, for The Wall; Marta de Salas Lozano, for Appearance of the Landscape II; Mª Concepción Valentín Solís, for A Place to Live; Ana Pavón Porras, for Velum I; Susana Moreno Ortigosa, for 44 Paintings from a Liquid World; Mª Luz Rivas Vallada, for I Cannot Help It, I Also Like Wittgenstein; Elena Mª Redondo Cervantes, for Evening Flight, and José Luis Panadero Alburquerque, for Horizons.
In the category of Art on Paper, the winners are Sandra Rubio Pérez, for Gold Scars I; Irene Pereña Hernández, for Noemalaba-Dingolondango-Ventana; Rodrigo Moreno Pérez, for Landscape II; Lasha Makharadze, for 41 HZ; Irene Pérez Ariza, for Cycles; Elena María Redondo Cervantes, for White Stains, and Alba Lorente Hernández, for The Duality of Nothing.
In the category of Graphic Art, Inmaculada Bautista Pareja has been awarded for Maguerit III.
