OHL is awarded a new project in Peru for over 37 million euros

OHL obtains a new project in Peru, the construction of a bypass at the Quellaveco Mine, in the region of Moquegua. The project, awarded by the Anglo American Quellaveco mining company in the amount of 37.5 million euros, includes the construction of a longitude of 21 km.  The new infrastructure, which will connect the road that joins Cuajone and Toquepala, crosses the Asana river valley. The project, that will favor the local communities, will generate up to 650 jobs.

OHL started its activity in Peru almost two decades ago and during this period it has carried out important infrastructure projects. Outstanding are Red Vial 4, which forms part of the Panamericana Norte, main communicating artery that runs along the Peruvian coast, and the restoration and improvement of sections IV and VII of the Ayacucho-Abancay roadway, with a total of 122 km. It has also carried out construction actions in the mining sector for the Antamina Mining Company and Las Bambas Mining, among others.

In the industrial area, outstanding, among others are, the design, procurement, construction and startup  of a crushing plant with agglomeration and semi continuous piling system for gold mineral in the Shahuindo mine and the design, construction and startup of mineral transportation system of the El Brocal Mineral Company plant in  Cerro de Pasco.
