OHL receives the Best Internationalization Strategy prize granted by El Vigía communication group

El Vigía Group, born in September 1995 and consisting of a group of printed and on-line publications specialising in information on logistics, transport and infrastructures, has granted OHL the Best Internationalization Strategy prize for its decided and successful decision to enter the foreign market in a very difficult economic scenario, further to the XIV Spanish Edition of Best Initiative Prizes in Logistics, Transport and Infrastructures.

Furthermore, the prizes have included various categories to acknowledge innovation in the sector, logistical quality and initiative, multi-mode and business initiatives or Corporate Social Responsibility (CSR), from amongst a total of over 60 participating candidatures this year.

Juan Villar-Mir de Fuentes, vice-president of OHL, received the award at an event that gathered, apart from leading business representatives in the transport and logistics sector, the vice-president of the Generalitat de Cataluña Government, Joana Ortega, and the president of Puertos del Estado, José Llorca, amongst others.

This recognition evidences the success of OHL Group’s strategy, adopted and published in 2002, as a result of which it has focused its pillars for growth in internationalization and innovation as a source of competitiveness.

As regards OHL’s international presence, of significance is the fact that it operates in over 30 countries all over the world, and that at the end of the 2011 fiscal year 70% of its sales, 73% of its staff and 89% of its portfolio and EBITDA were generated abroad.
