OHL will build a section of the Zaragoza-Pamplona HSR for 56 million euros

OHL will build a section of the Zaragoza-Pamplona HSR for 56 million euros. The project, awarded by Adif, includes the execution of a section of high velocity railway which will run through the municipalities of Villafranca, Marcilla and Peralta, in Navarra.
The subsection object of this award has a longitude of 5 km, and extends from Villafranca, next to the AP-15 highway and to 2 km before the crossing with Aragón River, crossing over the Alsasua-Zaragoza railway and the AP-15 highway and finalizing in the locality of Peralta in Navarra. The work includes the execution of five structures: two viaducts, a pergola and two overpasses.
OHL thereby adds a new high-speed project in Spain, where it has executed close to 200 interventions. Recently, the company has finalized a section of the HSR in Guipúzcoa, the Antzuola-Ezkio Itsaso east section, in which they have executed a bitube tunnel with a longitude of 2.8 kilometers which runs under the municipality of Zumárraga; as well as another contract in the north-northwest corridor of the Madrid-Galicia HSR (Espiño tunnel section), with the execution of a single lane tunnel with a longitude of 7,950 meters.
Presently, the company is executing the railway infrastructure at the Huelva station; track installation to increment the capacity of the HSR between Madrid (Atocha) and Torrejón de Velasco (Madrid) and the branch in the direction of Seville connecting the Madrid-Levante HSR with the Madrid-Sevilla HSR. In addition, OHL has recently been awarded in JV, the construction of the Mondragón-Elorrio-Bergara section, within the Vitoria-Bilbao-San Sebastián High Speed Railway, commonly known as the Basque ‘Y’.
