More resilient and environmentally friendly infrastructures

We have developed R&D&I projects and innovative actions aimed at designing and building more environmentally friendly, less polluting and more environmentally resilient infrastructures, including a few examples below.

Railway infrastructure subjected to extreme climates

We have patented an innovative system of sand barriers developed in collaboration with the University of Seville, which will make it possible to significantly reduce deposits of airborne sand on the railway route in scenarios with extreme climates that are common in desert zones such as the Middle East and Peru.

This technology was developed within the framework of the Arid-Lap R&D&I consortium, co-financed by CDTI in its Interconecta Andalucia 2013 request for tenders, with participation by different companies, including ADIF and Ineco, with the company as the only construction company. In this R&D&I initiative, in regard to its field, research teams from the universities of Granada, Seville, Almería and the Complutense de Madrid.
