The president of Chile, Michelle Bachelet, visits the works of the new hospital in Curicó

Chilean President Michelle Bachelet visited the site of the new Provincial Hospital of Curicó, which OHL is building in Chile and will replace the one destroyed by the 2010 earthquake. The president was accompanied during the visit by the Minister of Public Works, Alberto Undurrag and the Minister of Health, Carmen Castillo.
The project, with a budget of 230 million euro, contemplates the execution of a new hospital complex with 12 surgical pavilions and a capacity for 400 beds. It will have a total constructed area of 102,930 m2 distributed in 9 floors, two of them below ground level. Areas for hospital care include 8 emergency boxes, 5 comprehensive delivery rooms, 27 procedure boxes and 52 clinical consult rooms. The health center will incorporate an energy efficiency system and will have a parking area for 800 vehicles and a heliport for emergency transportation within the national health network.
