OHL, present at the tribute paid to Fernando Carrillo, Colombia’s Ambassador in Spain

OHL has participated in the tribute paid to Fernando Carrillo, Colombia’s Ambassador in Spain, upon completion of his diplomatic assignment in our country. The act, held in Madrid last 28 September, was presided by Rafael Catalá Polo, Minister of Justice, and was attended by Núria Vilanova, president of the Business Council for Latin America-CEAL Ibérico, the organizer of the event, and Josep Piqué, CEO and Second Vice-Chairman of the OHL Group, amongst other personalities in business and political circles.
The president of CEAL Ibérico went over the honoree’s career and highlighted that “one of the Ambassador’s greatest achievements has been to bring his country closer to peace”. In turn, the Minister, Rafael Catalá, pointed out that “his professional career has been an example of service and commitment to his country and to the Latin American community”.
CEAL Ibérico, which was incorporated in 1990 and currently has more than 600 members, is an organization created by leading entrepreneurs in Spain, Portugal and Andorra, with interests in Latin America and the Caribbean. Its main objective is to create business forums to promote the social and economic progress of the Latin American Business Area.
Colombia, home market
OHL has a prominent presence in Colombia, one of its eight home markets along with USA, Canada, the other Pacific Alliance members -Mexico, Peru and Chile- Spain and the Czech Republic, as gathered in the company’s 2015-2020 Strategic Plan.
