OHL Servicios: 10 years in the cleaning sector

OHL Servicios, a division of the OHL Group specialized in facilities management, has completed ten years of activity in the interior cleaning sector in Spain and is positioned among the top ten in the ranking of Spanish cleaning services companies through its head subsidiary, OHL Servicios-Ingesan. The division, which commenced its internationalization with contracts in Chile, is exploring new markets such as Mexico and the U.S.
The business activity of OHL Servicios is concerned with facilities management, extended care services and municipal services. In the context of the cleaning sector, the division operates through OHL Servicios-Ingesan and designs cleaning plans in which it implements innovations and new technologies in the performance of its activity, such as services management programs (Computer-Assisted Maintenance Management and BIM –Building Information Modeling- technology), ionized water, nanotechnology, cryogenesis, green products, driverless machinery, water misting, room sterilization and microbiological controls, thermography and vibration analysis.
The cleaning contracts for lines 8 and 10 of the Madrid subway system, the A Coruña University Complex and a number of facilities belonging to the City Council of Madrid in the districts of Retiro, Fuencarral and Puente de Vallecas stand out among the first awards obtained in 2007.
At the present time, OHL Servicios-Ingesan is performing more than 500 cleaning projects, including key contracts on lines 8 and 10 of the Madrid subway system and lines 1, 4, 5, 9 and 11 of the Barcelona subway; the hospitals of Manacor, Institut Català de la Salut, the Huelva Logistics Platform and the Palma de Mallorca, Malaga, Alicante and Seville airports.
In 2016, OHL Servicios launched its international expansion with new contracts in Chile, including the cleaning services for the CRS Hospital Provincia Cordillera in Santiago de Chile (Chile), the facilities of the Town Council of Colina and the parking facility of the Comodoro Arturo Merino Benítez International Airport, in Santiago de Chile.
As of today, its workforce takes in groups at risk or in a situation of social exclusion. This social commitment, maintained for a decade, has been singled out by a number of recognitions, such as the Incorpora Award 2016 granted by Obra Social “la Caixa”, for the large number of employment contracts entered into with people from disadvantaged groups over the last decade, and the Stela Awards 2015 and 2016, given yearly by the Madrid Down Syndrome Foundation.
