OHL Concesiones joins the II Equality Plan promoted in conjunction with MCA-UGT and CC OO
March 9, 2016
OHL Construcción and OHL Concesiones have renovated their adhesion to the equality plan, promoted in conjunction with MCA-UGT and CC OO. It was signed during an event held in Torre Espacio, head office of the OHL Group in Madrid, as part of International Women’s Day.
This is the second equality plan following the one signed in 2009. Executed for a four-year term, it includes 53 indicators that consolidate a commitment in favor of gender equality through the application of measures to further the careers of both men and women, as well as access to senior work posts in the same conditions.
The document includes formative actions to encourage skills and competences on an equal basis; training and awareness amongst all employees in equality matters; and to help achieve a balance between work, family and the private life.
Furthermore, the plan focuses on the need to prevent and correct any conduct or action that may suggest sexual and moral harassment or on the grounds of sex, or gender discrimination. Furthermore, it refers to the incorporation of a gender approach to prevention policies and risk evaluations and health surveillance, taking into account any specific risks for fertility, reproduction, pregnancy and nursing.
With this signature, both divisions are manifesting their support and protection of any female workers who have suffered domestic violence, zero tolerance and a commitment to collaborate actively, effectively and firmly to prevent, detect, correct and sanction any type of discriminatory or abusive conduct.
