OHL participates in the 5th edition of the Civil Engineering Week in Madrid, under the slogan “We innovate to move forward”

From today and until 6 October, citizens and visitors from Madrid are invited to participate in the fifth edition of the Civil Engineering Week in Madrid, promoted by the Official Association of Civil Engineers under the slogan Innovamos para avanzar (We innovate to move forward ) and which has the support and collaboration of public and private bodies and companies in the engineering and civil works sector, including OHL.

Among the events scheduled we would highlight the Innovation Tunnel, located in the Plaza del Callao. Those who visit will be able to learn about devices, methodologies, procedures and samples of innovative materials that are currently applied in the field of civil engineering and unique building construction. On the part of OHL, the company will present two initiatives: the monitoring of infrastructures and high-rise buildings carried out in Torrespacio and a virtual 360º visit to Caleido, known as the fifth Tower, both located in Cuatro Torres Business Area, to the north of the city.

Likewise, on Thursday October 3rd, OHL will give a workshop in the Innovation Tunnel aimed at learning about the elements that make up road pavements, their manufacturing process and innovative methods to take advantage of by-products from industrial processes (in this case, OHL is a pioneer in Spain in its use) to improve some of their properties and contribute to the circular economy. On the same day, the company will invite around twenty people to visit Centro Canalejas Madrid, along a route characterized by a technical and constructive approach and in which special attention will be paid to innovation and sustainability criteria applied in the development of the project.
