OHL supports three projects in favor of the social integration of disadvantages groups

The OHL Group has announced the winners of the company’s First Call for the Submission of Social Projects in the framework of an event held at Torre Espacio, the OHL Group’s corporate headquarters in Madrid, on the 26th of October.
A jury including, among others, Luis García-Linares, Corporate General Manager; Alfonso Gordon, HR & Organization General Manager, and María Rúspoli, head of the Community Involvement, Sponsorship and Patronage Service, Manuel Villén, Innovation & Sustainability Manager, all from OHL, together with representatives of the Instituto de Empresa, Fundación Lealtad, CERMI and Servimedia, was responsible for selecting the winning candidatures from among a total of 29 initiatives, which had previously been evaluated by Fundación Konecta, a social entity with which the OHL Group has been collaborating since 2007 and which acted as the technical secretariat of the call for submissions.
The Spanish Refugee Aid Commission (CEAR), the winner of this first edition, has been awarded a 5,000-euro cash prize that will be used for the implementation of the FormaCEAR project, based on a training program that includes practice work in companies in the Community of Valencia. The Fundación Manolo Maestre Dávila and the Realities for Social Integration Association were awarded 3,000 euros each and will use these funds for a university scholarship program for students from underprivileged neighborhoods in Seville and Jerez de la Frontera, and to the Pulsar project, devoted to the labor market integration of homeless people. Both initiatives will take place in Madrid.
