OHL supports the “International Day for the Elimination of Violence against Women”
November 24, 2017
OHL observes the International Day for the Elimination of Violence against Women on the 25th of November, by collaborating in raising social awareness through the dissemination of several awareness-raising campaigns promoted by the Ministry of Health, Social Affairs and Equality (MSSSI) and Fundación Integra.
For the fifth year in a row, the company has given its support to the initiative of the MSSSI, which, through the slogan “There is a way out of gender violence”, has set as its objective the attainment of a society free from violence against women. For this purpose, OHL will distribute badges among its employees that will lend visibility to the Group’s commitment to the fight against male violence, and also, in conjunction with Down Madrid, gifts have been prepared for distribution among the employees and customers in the course of the campaign launched by OHL Servicios-Ingesan, “Once is too many”.
Likewise, OHL supports the dissemination of the campaign launched with the slogan, “In the face of gender violence, you can look the other way. She can’t.”, aimed at making the children of the victims of violence visible. This campaign is promoted by Fundación Integra, an organization with which OHL has been collaborating since 2002 and with which it has set in motion –among other initiatives- a specific plan for the labor market integration of groups with disabilities or at risk of exclusion.
Joining in these campaigns is additional to the company’s commitment to other social entities such as the Spanish Red Cross and Fundación Adecco, as well as the Public Employment Service. Working together with them, OHL, through its subsidiary OHL Servicios-Ingesan, has concluded close to 175 employment contracts over the last five years.
