ELSAN, an OHL subsidiary with more than thirty years of experience in the construction and maintenance of gas stations, was recognized by BP with the First HSSE Award (Health, Safety, Security and Environment) for its commitment to health, safety, protection and the environment in the context of the comprehensive renovation works that it is carrying out at one of the oil company’s gas stations in the town of Fuenlabrada, Madrid.
This award highlights Elsan’s commitment to health, safety, protection and the environment in addition to the prize awarded in 2017, also by BP, with whom it has had an agreement since 2012 as the main contractor for civil works at a national level. This collaboration translates into renovation projects for gas stations, as well as new loading and comprehensive service points. In this regard, it should be noted that the OHL subsidiary carried out over 350 projects of this nature in Spain.
Elsan specializes in the preservation and maintenance of road, airport and urban services and infrastructure. It has a team of nearly 200 people; safety, quality and environmental protection being the fundamental aspects of its activity. Furthermore, Elsan is a leader within its sector, which is technology related to road surfaces and, very specifically, to bituminous road surfaces.
Juan Diego Mohedano, manager of Elsan, collected the award from José Antonio Sánchez Delgado, project manager of BP Spain Central Area, accompanied by Agustín Sanz Pozo, the site manager, and Marta Hurtado Agra, the manager of the OHL subsidiary.
