The stone restoration works on Centro Canalejas Madrid receive the National Macael Award

Centro Canalejas Madrid has won the Macael Prize, in the National Prize category, in the thirty-third edition of these awards granted by the Association of Marble Businesses of Andalusia (AEMA, by its Spanish acronym).
The Macael award, which have been consolidated as the most important event in the natural stone sector in Spain, have recognized the recovery and restoration work on pieces belonging to the buildings that make up Centro Canalejas Madrid -marble, granite, onyx and carved stone, mainly-, and the creation of replicas of elements, replacing the originals, which have not been able to be recovered due to their high level of deterioration and which have been located in their places of origin: exterior facades and cladding and flooring inside buildings, as well as ornaments located mainly on the outside of the complex.
Centro Canalejas Madrid is an outstanding project to reconvert seven historical buildings of different styles with more than 100 years of history into a mixed-use space that will combine its historic architecture with a more contemporary image. It will house a five-star hotel – the first of the Four Seasons chain in Spain – 22 private residences with Four Seasons service, a shopping gallery that will house luxury fashion brands, a gourmet space with the best of Spanish gastronomy and a car park with capacity for more than 400 vehicles.
