OHL has been rewarded for its commitment to the inclusion into the job market of persons at a risk or in situation of social exclusion, with the Integra Prize and the Integra Commitment distinction, awarded by Fundación Integra. The delivery act took place last 27 October, in Madrid, further to the “Integra Commitment: committed to people” event. The act was presided by Fátima Báñez, Minister of Employment and Social Security, and Ana Botella, president of the Fundación Integra. The OHL Group was represented by Luis García-Linares, General Corporate Manager, José Antonio de Cachavera, General Manager of OHL Servicios-Ingesan, María Ruspoli, Head of the Social Action, Sponsorship and Patronage Service of the OHL Group, and Cristina Encinas, Head of Human Resources of OHL Servicios-Ingesan.
Luis García-Linares was in charge of gathering the Integra Prize from the hands of Fátima Báñez, who acknowledged OHL’s work towards employment, by incorporating 300 persons into its staff over the last 14 years. During his speech, the General Corporate Manager highlighted “the Group’s commitment to the employability of vulnerable groups; this is one of its most valuable lines of work in favor of society”. Furthermore, he referred to the award received in 2013, due to obtaining 150 recruitments and doubling this figure in “just two years”.
María Ruspoli, on behalf of OHL, gathered the Integra Commitment plaque, distinguishing the Group for belonging to the Compromiso Integra business network. This initiative, which was officially presented during the event, includes 31 enterprises committed to the incorporation into the job market of persons belonging to vulnerable social groups.
The OHL Group is articulating its action guidelines in social matters through the 2012-2015 Framework Social Action Plan, coordinated by the Social Action, Sponsorship and Patronage Service, belonging to the General Corporate Management. Along these lines, OHL is collaborating with Fundación Integra in three fields: the incorporation into the job market of persons at a risk of social exclusion, awareness amongst Human Resources managers, and the School for Strengthening volunteer work program, aimed at endowing the Foundation’s beneficiaries with tools enabling them to successfully join the job market.
Fundación Integra is a non-profit organization which, since it was born in 2001, aims at incorporating into the job market persons belonging to social groups actually or potentially at a risk of social exclusion; it serves as a nexus amongst institutions, non-profit organizations and enterprises that would like to give these groups a chance in order to fully become part of society.
