The Ministry of Education rewards Autopista del Norte
December 2, 2015
For the second consecutive year, Autopista del Norte (AUNOR) has received a relevant recognition from the Ministry of Education (MINEDU), in the “Improved Learning” category, for its “Ciudad-ando” educational project, which it has been implementing in the towns of Huarmey, Casma and Chimbote, as part of its Corporate Social Responsibility activities.
The prize was handed over by the Minister of Education, Jaime Saavedra, to Víctor Tirado and Gonzalo Rojas, General Manager and Head of Communications and Community Relations (AUNOR), respectively. The event was also attended by the Vice Minister for Institutional Management, Juan Pablo Silva, and the General Secretary, Desilú León.
Of interest is the fact that this reward was a consequence of Alianza Pro Educación “Rumbo a la Nota más Alta” [“Towards obtaining the top grade” Pro Education Alliance] launched by the Ministry, which is involving the private sector in improving the quality of education, aligning its initiatives with the strategic objectives of the educational reform launched by the current government.
During the event, other companies were also rewarded, in the mining, financing, construction and technology sectors, under the “Revaluation of Teaching Careers”, “Infrastructure” and “Strengthening the Skills and Specialization of Higher Education” categories.
