New TELEVÍA method of payment for Mexican toll roads
July 3, 2014
TELEVÍA has arranged a new post-payment service for the users of urban highways in Mexico City, extending the payment methods available for distance toll devices.
Implementation of this service is covered by the valuable diversification program launched by the TELEVÍA technological platform, an interoperable distance toll charge model developed by OHL Concesiones for the Mexican market, in order to guarantee that all its clients can easily travel along the 150-km urban highway network with electronic toll charges.
This post-payment service, instrumented in February to guarantee a speedy and smooth service, has involved a new “switch” for the real-time processing of all travelling charges, associated to one or more tags, with a credit card endorsed by the client’s account. This new TELEVÍA service is an addition to traditional pre-payment methods using direct bank debit and charging on-line or at self-service stations, and have been implemented since the very beginning to serve a diversified market with a growing, albeit still small, number of penetrating banks.
