OHL achieves ISO 45001 certification in Occupational Health and Safety Management Systems
August 22, 2019
OHL reinforces its commitment to health and safety at work by obtaining ISO 45001 certification. This standard represents an advance in the traditional preventive management, regulated until now under the standard OSHAS 18001, and guarantees the generation of safe and healthy workplaces, favoring an optimization of productivity through the presence of prevention and safety in the production process.
Its integration into OHL’s Integrated Management System for Prevention, Quality and the Environment has facilitated the joint certification of three areas: Prevention of Occupational Risks, Quality and the Environment in a total of 15 countries – Chile, Colombia, Mexico, Panama, Peru, Uruguay, Spain, Slovakia, Norway, Czech Republic, Ireland, Sweden, Saudi Arabia, Turkey and Jordan – and in 41 companies dependent on the Construction, Industrial and Services business lines.
With this certification, OHL has anticipated market requirements, with the deadline for companies to adapt to the 45001 standard ending in March 2021.
