OHL, Fourth Listed Company for Highest Quality of Information Given to the Market
December 16, 2010
At a time in which the quality of corporate information is considered to be a key indicator of good management and reliability, be it financial, environmental, social or related to corporate governance, OHL comes fourth place among listed Spanish companies for facilitating high quality information to the market.
OHL appears in this position in the first Reporta report, which evaluates the quality of the public information of the companies on the General Index of the Madrid Stock Exchange. The study, impelled by the financial communication agency Deva, is based on the principles of transparency, adequacy and accessibility of information.
The report places the 118 companies analyzed into four groups, A, B, C and D, from highest to lowest quality. The global result, 45.4 points out of 100, reflects that the average quality of reporting by quoted companies is low. In fact, in Group A there are only 17 companies, three of which are from the construction sector, OHL, ACCIONA and FCC..
This information holds added value for OHL, who is also the first constructor in the global classification and who owes its position to its excellent fourth place in the transparency category, the most valued principle in the report. In adequacy it holds thirteenth place, and third in accessibility. In all three categories it appears in group A.
