January 5, 2018
OHL has been recognized by the Ministry of Agriculture and Fisheries, Food and Environment (MAPAMA) with the European Mobility Week 2017 certificate, for its involvement in the promotion of sustainable mobility among its employees. European Mobility Week, for which MAPAMA is the national coordinator, is a campaign aimed at raising awareness of the rational use of cars in cities and of the benefits of the use of sustainable means of transportation (public transport, bicycles, etc…).
The OHL Group has promoted in-house technology developments and collaborative research projects for improving the mobility of people and goods. In this way, it opts for smart management systems applied to infrastructures, intelligent toll collection systems (free-flow gantries, eTollPay mobile app for electronic toll collection, …) or the use of PV energy for feeding LED luminaires on road infrastructures and LED technology.
In addition to these initiatives, the OHL Group has implemented the Mobility and Road Safety Plan 2015-2020 for improving the mobility of its employees through initiatives such as a parking area exclusive for bicycles and parking spaces reserved for car-sharing, shuttle services or the use of electric and compressed natural gas vehicles.
