OHLA and its subsidiary Ingesan sign a collaboration agreement with Inspiring Girls Foundation to promote equality and diversity
October 18, 2021
OHLA and its subsidiary Ingesan, the leading company of its Services activity, have reached a collaboration agreement with Inspiring Girls, an international foundation present in more than twenty countries dedicated to promoting self-esteem and empowerment of school-age girls, through education and the leading role they play in technical training, traditionally attributed to male profiles. By joining this initiative, the company advances in its commitment to equality and diversity, while responding to the Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs) promoted by the UN through the 2030 Agenda, specifically those related to Quality Education (SDG 4), Gender Equality (SDG 5) and Reduction of Inequalities (SDG 10).
As part of this agreement, the company invites all the women who are part of its human team in Spain to participate in the initiative One Hour a Year for the Women of the Future: back to school. It is a space for the meeting and debate between the OHLA and Ingesan women volunteers with school-age girls, during which they will give testimony of their training, work and personal experience, which has led them to be the professionals who they are currently, at the same time that it will serve to make visible the wide variety of professions and jobs that are developed without gender limitations.
OHLA and its subsidiary Ingesan, committed to the community
Inspiring Girls was born in England in 2013, with the purpose of working in favor of real equality through the incorporation of women in all fields of the public sphere and, in particular, the business field. Since then, the foundation has expanded its presence to more than 20 countries around the world. In Spain it has the support of more than twenty companies belonging to different fields, among which is the OHLA Group.
The OHLA Group has a firm commitment to equal opportunities, for which it implements different measures aimed at promoting equality without distinction of gender, race, culture, age or ideology.
Specifically, the OHLA Services line of activity stands out for a strategy of firm commitment to integrity, diversity and equality. This commitment is reflected in outstanding actions such as the labor insertion of disadvantaged groups, an area in which it has made more than 600 hires.
Likewise, it is committed to a society free of gender violence by joining the Business Network for a Society Free of Gender Violence. Among the many recognitions for her actions in favor of her commitment to society is the Family Responsible Company (EFR) certification, awarded by the Másfamilia Foundation. It is the quality seal that recognizes companies that incorporate a management system that allows a balance between work and personal life, a system based on respect, commitment and flexibility.
