OHLA to participate in the Community of Madrid’s SANEA Plan with a project worth more than 60 million euros

OHLA has been awarded the contract for the execution of the SANEA Plan infrastructures in different municipalities of the Community of Madrid, managed by Canal de Isabel II (CYII).

Specifically, the company will carry out the improvement of the sewerage networks managed by Canal de Isabel II in its lot 4, which has an award budget of more than 60 million euros.

The SANEA Plan is a CYII initiative that optimizes the management of sewerage networks and reduces discharges into the sewerage system. The aim is to improve the purification and guarantee the quality of the receiving waters of the rivers while respecting the environment and making better use of the energy required for these processes.

The geographical scope of the contract is the western area of the Community of Madrid, including towns such as Las Rozas, El Escorial, Alpedrete, Torrelodones, Sevilla la Nueva, El Molar, ChapinerĂ­a and Cenicientos.

The infrastructure can be of different types: Mainly collectors, both traditional and trenchless, pumping stations, spillways, and storm tanks.

OHLA will develop, within the framework of the actions established by the CYII, both the projects related to each action and the construction works included in each one of them.

The company is also carrying out for the Community of Madrid the renovation works of the CYII’s supply network pipelines.
