Civil Engineers rewarded by OHL for the best constructive procedure work

OHL, as part of its commitment to the development of talent, has rewarded certain students at the Higher Technical School of Civil Engineers (ETS ICCP) in Madrid during an academic act to deliver diplomas to graduate year number 206 of this school ascribed to Universidad Politécnica de Madrid.
Manuel Villén, OHL Group’s Head of Innovation & Sustainability, was in charge of handing over the prize to the best work in the General Construction Procedures Chair, endowed with 3,000 euros, to the study entitled “Construction of the High-Speed Train (AVE, by its Spanish acronym) railway viaduct over the Almonte River”. The winning authors were the students Carlos Alberto García Franco, Vega Laguna Díaz, Alberto Marchan Escudero, Carlos Mestre García and Gonzalo Viejo Aparicio.
The Villar Mir Prize to the best academic record in the Business Organization & Management Chair, endowed with 6,000 euros, was granted to Sandra Ballesteros Ortega, who collected it from the hands of Julio Iglesias de Ussel, general secretary of the Villar Mir Foundation.
The act was attended by His Excellency the Chancellor of Universidad Politécnica de Madrid, Guillermo Cisneros Pérez, the manager of the Madrid School of Civil Engineers, Francisco Javier Martín Carrasco, and the Minister of Public Works, Ana Pastor, amongst other personalities.
