Elsan, an OHLA subsidiary specializing in asphalt and construction, has won the the BP Agile Award. This distinction highlights the implementation of the Agile methodology in construction and refurbishment projects in service stations for the oil company, facilitating a more sustainable control of resources, as well as the execution of projects in time and form, after applying flexibility and immediacy in communication with the client to adapt the project and its development to the specific circumstances of the environment.

The award ceremony took place in the framework of the Contractors’ Conference, an event that BP holds every year and that has been resumed after its suspension during the covid pandemic period.

The OHLA subsidiary has an agreement since 2012 with BP as the main contractor for civil works at the national level. Since then, Elsan has received several awards from this client. Among them, the First HSSE (Health, Safety, Security and Environment) Award, in 2020, for its commitment to health, safety, security and the environment within the framework of the integral reform work carried out at one of the oil company’s service stations. For this reason, the company was also distinguished in 2018 while, in 2021, BP recognized, internally, the work carried out in the Mechanical Installation reform project at the BP Pozuelo gas station.

Elsan has more than 30 years of experience working with several oil companies in the construction and maintenance of their facilities throughout the country. For them, it has developed projects for the refurbishment of old facilities, and reconversion, according to new quality and safety standards within its service stations, new implementations in washing and catering areas within the service station itself, as well as the implementation, at present, of new electric recharging points.
