The OHL Group’s commitment to generating employment opportunities for persons at risk of social exclusion has been recognized with the Integra Award, conferred during the meeting on Employment Integration and RSE: values that transform (Integración laboral y RSE: valores que transforman), organized by Fundación Integra, an entity in which the OHL Group is a trustee.

The event was held on 26 November and brought together over 150 directors of Human Resources, Corporate Social Responsibility (CSR) and Communications from the country’s leading companies. Ana Botella, founding chairman of this social action entity, presided over the event with the help of others, including Engracia Hidalgo, Secretary of State for Employment; Daniel Sada and Ana Muñoz de Dios, chairman and general director of Fundación Integra, respectively.

The OHL Group took part in the meeting and was one of the four companies receiving awards in this edition. Luis García-Linares, Corporate General Director of the OHL Group and chairman of the OHL Services division, received the award on behalf of the group in recognition of the efforts made to promote job placement for the disadvantaged, which included hiring 150 new employees over the last twelve years. During Luis García-Linares’ speech, he stressed OHL’s pledge “to provide employment opportunities in Group companies to persons with particular difficulties” through the implementation of a job placement plan specifically for groups at risk of social exclusion and the disabled as framed in the OHL Group Social Action Plan.

The Corporate general director also shared some words of appreciation regarding Fundación Integra, with which the Group has shared ties since 2002 as member of the foundation’s board of trustees, “with the firm goal of cultivating social well-being through job integration”.

Fundación Integra began its journey in 2001 and centers its activities on fostering employment opportunities for persons at Risk of Social Exclusion (RSE) and the disabled through intermediation between companies and social action, public and private entities. The foundation currently collaborates with over 100 companies and more than 120 NGOs and social action institutions. Together, they have helped secure over 4,600 hirings throughout Spain such as Madrid, Barcelona, Sevilla, Baleares, Valencia and Castellón.
