Inauguration of the Municipal Białystok Stadium in Poland

On 18 October, the Polish city of Białystok inaugurated its municipal football stadium, which OHL has helped construct . The stadium offers a usable surface area of more than 24,000 square meters, is able to accommodate more than 22,500 spectators and meets all UEFA (Union of European Football Associations) standards to hold matches.
The new sports facilities were inaugurated by Tadeusz Truskolaski, mayor of Bialystok, with the presence of Jaroslaw Dworzański, marshal of the Podlasie region, who made a guest appearance in the friendly match held between two teams of the Polish football league. On behalf of the OHL Group, Manuel Viciana, head of OHL Construcción Europe attended, as well as Ramón Gil Mataix, territorial manager of Poland for OHL Construcción at the time, and Javier de Vicente Sánchez, then head of the External Area of OHL ŽS, amongst others. The Spanish embassy in Poland was represented by its sales director, Juan Antonio García-Denche Navarro, and the sales attaché, Laura González Villarejo.
The technical aspects of the works include the spatial openwork structure of the stadium, containing 24,000 cubic meters of concrete, 2,400 tons of framework and 4,600 tons of metal roofing structure. The roof crown is 28.4 meters high.
