Ingesan awarded five new contracts worth nearly nine million euros

Ingesan, subsidiary of the OHL Group specializing in maintenance, cleaning and healthcare services, has been awarded five new contracts worth nearly nine million euros for cleaning and maintaining public services and residential assistance services.

The company’s new business areas were particularly prominent among the awarded contracts, namely the Energy Efficiency Service and Fully Guaranteed Maintenance for the facilities at the Residential Care Complex in Ávila. This contract contemplates the maintenance service for electrical and mechanical installations in addition to improvements on energy-consuming parts of the facilities so as to optimize the energy efficiency of the complex as a whole. Following the measures implemented on the basis of new technologies and facility refurbishment, the savings attained will reach 10% for thermal energy, 15% for electricity, and 5% on water consumption.

This project is associated with the 2011-2020 Action Plan for Energy Savings and Efficiency backed by the Ministry of Industry, Energy and Tourism. This plan entails the practical application of European energy efficiency directives, which were recently modified in the new Directive 2012/27/EU on energy efficiency, and strives to fulfill the EU’s 20-20-20 Targets for 2020: improving energy efficiency by 20%, reducing greenhouse gas emissions by 20%, and raising the share of energy generation from renewable sources to 20%.

Ingesan has also been awarded a residential assistance service contract in Benalmádena, which will cover nearly two hundred dependent persons. It is worth mentioning that this will be the first time that Ingesan operates in this city in Malaga.

In addition to these two contracts, Ingesan has also been awarded a third comprehensive maintenance contract for commercial and residential buildings in Madrid; and yet another cleaning service contract for buildings, municipal facilities and educational centers in the city of Santa María Palautordera located in Barcelona. Furthermore, the General Directorate of the National Institute of Social Security has also awarded Ingesan a maintenance service contract for its facilities.
