Ingesan, the leading subsidiary of OHLA’s Services activity, continues its commitment to the implementation of VERA, its innovative platform for the provision of digital care services, which it unveiled for the first time in Asturias during the Care Economy meeting, organized by the Laboratory for the creation of the Competence Center for the Long-term Care and Active Aging Economy (CECOEC, by its Spanish acronym), held on April 20, 21 and 22 in Oviedo.

The meeting brought together more than 40 national exhibitors linked to the socio-health sector during its first edition, with the collaboration of the Regional Ministry of Social Rights and Welfare of the Principality of Asturias, as well as the Chambers of Commerce of Avilés, Gijón and Oviedo. Ingesan has exhibited its own technology at the service of people, which helps to eliminate physical and distance barriers, facilitating access to a complete range of services with just a TV and a remote control. In this way, the user can access psychological therapy sessions, gerontogymnastics, recreational or social activities, among others, in addition to providing a complete follow-up to their family members.

Since its launch, VERA has been successfully implemented in cities such as Malaga, Barcelona or Teruel, and recently Ingesan has reached a collaboration agreement with the Community of Madrid for its use within the framework of the healthcare services that the region offers its citizens.

In a complementary way, Ingesan and the University of Zaragoza have signed a collaboration agreement to carry out a research project on the benefits of the use of VERA in the elderly, which confirms their level of autonomy, well-being and happiness while reducing the feeling of loneliness.

VERA, best social innovation project

VERA has been awarded in the 2022 edition of the Tecnosocial congress, a reference forum for innovation and new technologies in social services held in Malaga, as a social innovation project for a new model of service delivery focused on people.

It is worth noting that, within the framework of this congress, held last March, Ingesan held more than 25 face-to-face sessions of VERA, for an audience of about 500 people.
