ITS España 2014 Prize to Autopista Eje Aeropuerto

Autopista Eje Aeropuerto, a subsidiary of OHL Concesiones, has received the ITS España 2014 Prize (Highways) for its contribution to develop ITS technologies. The prize was awarded last 8 May during the XIV Spanish Conference on Intelligent Transportation Systems, arranged by ITS España.

Autopista Eje Aeropuerto has made a valuable contribution over the last few years to encourage ITS technologies in R&D projects led by OHL Concesiones, such as Intelligent Roads, OASIS and FOTsis.

The Intelligent Roads project developed a free-flow toll fee portico, which was tested and validated on the M12 Toll Road. The OASIS project involved the design, implementation and testing of a set of technologies for traffic characterization and management.

Finally, as part of FOTsis, the M12 Toll Road is conducting tests with real users to validate vehicle-infrastructure cooperative services developed in relation to road assistance.
