Luis Amodio, president of OHLA, received from Jorge Neri, editor of Cambio 16, one of the awards given annually by this historic Spanish-language newspaper. Specifically, he received the “Business” award. The jury of Cambio 16 has appreciated the management of the president of OHLA at the head of the global infrastructure group, “the new brand of a company that, without renouncing the legacy of 110 years of history, began its refoundation in 2021 under his leadership with the aim of culminating the great operational transformation of the company, promoting a line of business whose purpose is to accelerate progress towards sustainability seeking the positive impact of its activities on society”

In his speech, the president of OHLA underlines that “the business sector, together with the rest of the economic agents, must work to promote environmental, social, and good governance criteria”. Luis Amodio emphasized that “OHLA is a completely renewed company with important Concessions and Construction contracts and that it contributes to the development and growth of all the countries in which it is present”. He referred to the fact that the company has a global portfolio of more than 7.1 billion “through which we are committed to sustainable infrastructures in our reference markets: the United States, Latin America and Europe”. In this regard, he pointed out that “our objective is to promote territorial structuring, social cohesion, equal opportunities and, therefore, development and progress. At OHLA, we will continue to support infrastructures that improve the progress and well-being of citizens.

The Cambio16 Awards recognize companies, institutions and leaders who are fighting for a more humane, just, and regenerative world, and who are building hope through action against climate change and its devastating consequences. People with firm convictions, and deep loyalties, who always find points of dialogue and consensus to build democracy and defend freedom.
