New measures taken by OHL Servicios for the employability of persons at a risk of social exclusion
June 27, 2016
For the second consecutive year, OHL Servicios has participated in a new edition of the Networking Espai Làbora Seminar, held in Barcelona, which seeks to integrate into the job market persons at a risk of social exclusion. Furthermore, the company has collaborated in an initiative to integrate the handicapped into the employment world, known as Proyecto 1+, through which 26 young disabled citizens have completed their training.
OHL has been present at the Networking Espai Làbora” Seminar, held last 6 June in Mercado del Borne (Barcelona) and arranged by the City Council of Barcelona with the participation of social entities represented by ECAS (Entidades Catalanas de Acción Social), FEICAT (Federación de Empresas de Inserción de Cataluña) and the Red Cross, as well as the business network of Barcelona. The act was inaugurated by Laia Ortiz, third deputy mayor for Social Rights in the City Council of Barcelona, who awarded the Sello Làbora award to collaborating companies and entities, including OHL Servicios-Ingesan, as acknowledgement of their participation and commitment to social groups in the city at a risk of exclusion.
Vanessa Ramos and Marga García represented OHL Servicios-Ingesan at this seminar; they both belong to the Human Resources department and were in charge of interviewing candidates for job eligibility or in order to sign up for the company’s vacancies.
Furthermore, OHL has participated in an initiative to integrate disabled persons into the employment world, referred to as Proyecto 1+ and launched by Asociación para la Educación y la Formación Integrales (AEFI), Instituto Canastell and the Town Council of San Vicente del Raspeig (Alicante). Thanks to this initiative, 26 students of varying functional disabilities, belonging to Instituto Canastell, have completed their training at this town council in Alicante, of whom eleven have completed training in projects that OHL Servicios-Ingesan is executing for the Town Council of San Vicente de Raspeig, which has been receiving cleaning services since 2014.
