OHL awarded for its work on the renovation of the George Washington Bridge in New Jersey (USA)

Judlau, OHL Group affiliate in the USA, has received recognition for its work on the renovation of the George Washington Bridge (GWB) in New Jersey (USA), it is the world’s busiest motor vehicle bridge, connecting New York and New Jersey, and has been an architectural icon for 85 years.
The award was given by the New Jersey Alliance For Action, an entity comprised of over 2,500 of New Jersey’s top corporate, labor, professional, academic and governmental representatives. The Alliance’s mission is to improve New Jersey’s economy through the promotion of capital construction and infrastructure investment.
OHL’s renovation work on a section of the George Washington Bridge has been recognized as one of the 16 leading infrastructure projects in New Jersey. This contract is part of the Palisades Interstate Parkway Helix (Helix) project, awarded by the Port Authority of New York and New Jersey (PANYNJ) in the amount of 51 million euros. The Helix is one of the 11 state of good repair projects that make up the in the initiatives carried out by the PANYNJ, called Restoring the George program to help maintain the structural health of the bridge over the next decade.
