OHL has launched new social initiatives in Peru for the benefit of the local community. Within the framework of the project developed in the crushing plant with agglomeration and stacking system in the Shahuindo mine, the company has participated in two social initiatives, aimed at improving the facilities of two Infant and Primary schools located in the area of affluence of the mine, in the district of Cachachi (Cajabamba).

At the Chorobamba IEP School, a public primary school attended every day by more than a hundred students, OHL has carried out refurbishment and space improvement work. While in the San Jose hamlet, an educational center that serves around 100 students at the Infant, Primary and Secondary levels, OHL has participated in the rehabilitation and improvement of the building that houses this institution, which is more than 70 years old.

In addition to the social projects that OHL has developed in Peru, there are other initiatives carried out in Latin American countries such as Chile, Colombia and Mexico, mainly related to the promotion of education and health, and to the development of local commerce.
