May 11, 2011
OHL Industrial has taken another step in their development with the incorporation into their division of the new company Sthim Maquinaria, of which the Group just became the main shareholder, now holding 75 % of the shares.
This company was created in 1978 as Solids Transport engineering company, although for the past 10 years its work has been almost exclusively focused on the cement industry. With 50 employees and a turnover of around 20 million Euros, the majority of the main cement groups are clients of Sthim Maqinaria, who have carried out equipment installations in America, Europe, Africa and Asia.
Sthim Maquinaria is to be the centre of OHL Industrial’s new Bulk Solids area. Its general manager, civil engineer Alejandro Galindo, will also take on mangement of the area. Atmos and Prosisa will come under the same area and Prosisa will be functionally incorporated into Sthim.
The other three partners and directors who, along with Alejandro Galindo, maintain 25 % of the company’s capital will also continue in the company: Sergio Suarez, Manager of Projects; Eduardo Granados, Sales Manager; and Luis Guijarro, Financial Manager.
Sthim now have the target of doubling their turnover in three years and growing the bulk solids area, expanding their activities from the cement industry to other sectors, primarily that of heavy metals mining (copper, zinc, siler, gold, etc.), phosphates and energy plants, as well as any other kind of activity needed in bulk solids handling.
