The OHL Group is participating in two new construction projects in Peru for 112 million euro. These projects reinforce the company’s presence in Peru where it has been operating since 1999.

One of the contracts, valued at 95 million euro, was granted by the Ministry of Transport and Communications for the improvement of the Moquegua Omate-Arequipa highway to the 50/50 joint venture formed by OHL and COSAPI, a leading construction company in Peru. The highway runs along a118 km stretch in the Sierra Sur region of Peru between the districts of Arequipa and Moquegua.

When the project is completed the highway will have two lanes measuring three meters wide and a paved platform of six meters with berms of 0.5 meters, designed for travel speeds of approximately 30 km/h. The contract includes the construction of seven small bridges with spans ranging between 8 and 40 meters.
