OHL, receives recognition for an accident free year in the construction of the Curicó Hospital (Chile)

OHL has been awarded by the Asociación Chilena de Seguridad (ACHS) for completing a year without any work-related accident during the construction of the Curicó Hospital that the company is building in said Chilean locality and where it employs over 1,000 persons. Roberto Plaza, contract administrator, received the award on behalf of OHL and appreciated the recognition highlighting the preventive actions concerning safety that the company is implementing in the project.
Cristian Álvarez, fiscal inspector of the construction of the hospital of the Ministry of Public Works, emphasized the labor that OHL is carrying out in the matter of safety.
The new Curicó Hospital, the construction of which started at the end of 2016, will have a total floor area of 102,930 m2 distributed in 9 floors, two of them below ground level and will include, among other things, 12 surgical pavilions and a capacity for 400 beds. The new healthcare center, which has a seismic system in its structure, substitutes the one that was destroyed by the earthquake that devastated the country in 2010.
