OHL receives recognition from the Spanish Network of the Global Compact

OHL has received recognition from the Global Compact Spanish Network, the most important initiative for sustainability in the private sector promoted by the United Nations. This award recognizes the work of dissemination and active collaboration of the company in the Spanish Network of the Global Compact, of which it is a founding member since its creation in 2004.
The ceremony took place on June 12th in Madrid in the frame of the General Assembly of the Global Compact. Lisa Kingo, CEO and executive director of the UN Global Compact and Ángel Pes, president of the Spanish Network of the Global Compact attended the event. The award was received by Gonzalo Targhetta, Chief Organization and Corporate Resources Officer, on behalf of OHL.
This encounter focused on the participation of the Spanish business sector in the challenge that the 2030 Agenda entails, the global roadmap that spells out the objectives of the international community in the 2016-2030 time period to eradicate poverty and to favor sustainable and egalitarian development.
Member since 2004
OHL is committed to the principal initiatives and directives of the United Nations, such as are the Global Compact, Guiding Principles on Business and Human Rights and the Sustainable Development Objectives (SDO). As a member company since 2004 of the United Nations Global Compact, it works to disseminate and promote the Ten Principles and to achieve the SDO.
