OHL receives the visit of the president of Peru, Martín Vizcarra

The President of Peru, Martín Vizcarra, has visited the construction site of the future National Archeological Museum (MUNA – its acronym in Spanish) which OHL is executing in Lima. The president has been accompanied by the Minister of Culture, Patricia Balbuena; the Vice Minister of Cultural Heritage, Luis Felipe Villacorta and the Vice Minister of Transportation, Carlos Estremadoyro, among other authorities. On behalf of OHL, the Territorial Manager in Peru, Alvaro Machado and the Construction Project Manager, Raúl Esteban Hernández were present at the event.

MUNA is being executed through a consortium composed of OHL and the also Spanish Company, Aldesa Construcciones at 50% each, for a total amount of 108 million euros. The project, which was started in 2016 and in the construction process of which the BIM method (Building Information Modeling) has been implemented, will have a total floor area of over 65,000 square meters, distributed in five floors, three of them below ground level and two above, to which we must add 12,000 square meters of green terraces.

The museum, which expects to receive up to 15,000 visitors a day, will house close to 500,000 Pre-Inca and Inca archeological pieces that will be viewed by the visitors while being protected by modern surveillance and security systems.  In addition, it will form one of the largest museum centers in Latin America.
