OHL, recognized by Fundación Integra for its commitment to the labor market integration of vulnerable groups
October 27, 2017
Fundación Integra has recognized OHL as a socially committed company, on having concluded 500 employment contracts through its collaboration with the Foundation, benefiting people belonging to a range of vulnerable groups. The awards ceremony took place on the 26th of October, in Madrid, and was presided over by Ana Botella, president of Fundación Integra.
Emilio Gómez Rojo, Personnel Administration manager of OHL, received the Award to Hiring, granted by that institution, on behalf of the company. In his acceptance speech, he recalled that one of the company’s lines of action in the HR area, established in its CSR Plan, is the creation of quality employment in a framework of equal opportunities, by promoting programs for the integration of groups at risk. In this context, “our collaboration with Fundación Integra has been essential for enabling OHL to maintain its commitment to those people who encounter greater difficulties for accessing the labor market”, he stated.
Other attendees representing OHL included Jose Antonio de Cachavera, general manager of OHL Servicios; Cristina Encinas, Human Resources manager of OHL Servicios-Ingesan; Ruth Pérez, Labor Relations coordinator of OHL Servicios-Ingesan, and María Ruspoli, head of the Community Involvement, Sponsorship and Patronage Service of the OHL Group.
Collaboration since 2002
Since 2002, OHL has had a collaboration agreement in place with Fundación Integra, where it is a member of the institution’s board of trustees. Over the years, the Group has supported a number of initiatives promoted by the Foundation and has set in motion a specific plan for the labor market integration of groups with disabilities or at risk of exclusion. The main groups benefited include victims of gender violence; people with disabilities; women victims of prostitution; ex-convicts; drug victims; people over 45 and over 60 and members of the Roma ethnic group, among others.
OHL sums up 15 years working for the labor market integration of groups at risk of social exclusion, mainly through its subsidiary, OHL Servicios-Ingesan, specialized in facilities management.
