OHL release regarding their presence in Russia

Regarding an information published by the ABC Journal today, about the OHL Group activity in Russia and its subsidiary OHL Rus Limited in this country, the OHL Group wishes to present the evolution and current situation of its presence in Russia.

1.- All live contracts of the OHL Group in Russia up to this moment correspond, in management initiative as well as in award, to its Czech subsidiary OHL ŽS, in which it has been backed by the Czech Export Bank. All of them are completely external to OHL Rus Limited and to the OHL relation in this company with Mrs. Marina Séchina.

2.- OHL ŽS contracts in Russia are the following:

  • Ural-Polar Railroad. Awarded within the framework of an agreement between the Czech and Russian government by the Jamal Consortium, comprised by the Russian FFCC, Gazprom and the Jamal Region. It was signed during an official visit of the then Russian President, Dmitri Medvedev, to the Czech Republic in December of 2011. As the project funding at 50% through its Export Bank, the Czech Republic selected OHL ŽS for its execution. The project is awaiting the Russian part to release the committed funds.
  • Hotel in the Siberian city of Novosibirsk. Awarded to OHL ŽS by the company OOO Prokapital Siberia, currently ongoing.

3.- OHL Rus Limited was incorporated in May of 2012 with the purpose of having a private Russian company specialized in logistics management activities, staffing and administrative advice that the OHL Group might need for current and future development of projects and works within the Russian Federation.

In line with OHL’s policy in the countries in which it operates, it was deemed appropriate to have a local associate in the shareholding of OHL Rus which provided for the consideration of the Russian company and registered Russian as such, consideration which led to the entry of Mrs. Marina Séchina as a shareholder, with 49%, in December of 2013.

4.- Last June an agreement was reached with Mrs. Sechina, therefore she has left the company, transferring their shares to OHL. This transaction is pending publishing by the Russian Commercial Registry.

During the time Mrs. Marina Sechina has been a shareholder, OHL Rus Limited has not had any activity in Russia.
