July 27, 2016
Manuel García Cabero, HR coordinator of the office in central Spain of OHL Servicios-Ingesan, has been recognized by the Integra Foundation (Special HR Mention for July) for his commitment to the project to integrate groups at a risk of social exclusion, promoted by the latter, and for his involvement in selecting this type of candidate.
During an interview held with the Integra Foundation, Manuel pointed out the support given by OHL Group’s Management to this project and has encouraged the business sector to lean in favor of this type of initiative, given the “performance, motivation and gratitude offered by these persons, whose life you may be able to change”.
For Manuel, the experience gathered with persons recruited by OHL Servicios-Ingesan, belonging to the Integra Foundation, “offer much more gratitude and motivation than your average worker, and their performance is usually highly valued by their coordinators”.
OHL has been working for nearly 15 years in favor of the employability of marginal groups or at a risk of social exclusion; this commitment has resulted in the formalization of nearly 600 employment contracts, basically through its subsidiary OHL Servicios-Ingesan, specialized in facilities management.
The main beneficiaries are victims of gender violence; people with disabilities; female victims of prostitution; former convicts; drug addicts; persons in the 45-60 age range; and gypsies, amongst others.
