OHL Servicios obtains contrats worth more than 100 million in Spain and embarks upon its internationalization in Chile

The OHL Servicios division, through its subsidiary OHL Servicios-Ingesan, has obtained contracts in Spain totaling more than 100 million euros, among which those secured in Madrid, Barcelona and Malaga stand out. Likewise,the division has entered Chile’s facilities management market with the award of several projects. In this way, it has commenced the internationalization process included in its Strategic Plan and is examining the possibility of positioning itself in the North American and Mexican markets.
The contracts obtained in Madrid rank among the most significant and include the refuse collection service awarded to the company in a joint venture for the districts of Salamanca, Retiro, Chamartín, Moratalaz, Ciudad Lineal, Hortaleza, Vicálvaro, San Blas, Canillejas and Barajas, valued at nearly 40 million euros. This contract is additional to the award of the cleaning service for the rolling stock and the equipment and spare parts of the Metro de Madrid subway system workshops, worth close to nine million euros, as well as the mixed supply and works contract for the efficient management of the primary energy supplies used in the La Princesa University Hospital, at the price of 30 million euros.
In Barcelona, OHL Servicios-Ingesan has won global contracts, also in a joint venture, for the management of assisted living homes and day centers for the elderly, awarded by the regional government of Catalonia with a budget of close to six million euros.
In Malaga, the Andalusian Health Service of the regional government of Andalusia has awarded the company, as part of a joint venture, the cleaning service for the healthcare centers in the province of Malaga at the price of five million euros.
In addition to these awards, other contracts have been obtained worth a total amount in excess of 10 millioneuros. The following stand out among these contracts: the cleaning services for the buildings belonging to the Fundación para la Universitat Oberta de Catalunya, the Parc Científic de Barcelona, the runways and aircraft aprons at the Palma de Mallorca airport; the service for the maintenance of green areas, street cleaning and collection of discarded furniture and household goods in Fuenlabrada(Madrid); the facility for the generation of process steam for the CEAMSA (Compañía Española de Algas Marinas) production plant in Porriño (Pontevedra); and the up keep and maintenance of the San Telmo Palace in Seville.
Contracts in Chile
Added to the contracts in Spain are those obtained in Chile, worth more than two million euros, marking the entry of the OHL Group into the country’s facilities management market.
The first contract was granted by the Metropolitan South Eastern Health Service for contracting the cleaning services at the CRS Hospital Provincia Cordillera, in Santiago de Chile.
The second contract was promoted by Enersis, through its subsidiary Chilectra, the largest electric power distribution company in Chile. This project consists of the performance of works for the wooded area of the Chicureo and El Salto electrical substations, the latter of which is the largest in the country.
Other significant contracts obtained in this country include those granted by the Municipality of Colina for the cleaning service of its facilities;the maintenance and cleaning of the parking facility of the Comodoro Arturo Merino Benítez International Airport in Santiago de Chile, awarded by the car park management company, SABA, and the cleaning service for the Fórum Building, managed by CBRE, world leader in real estate services.
