OHL USA places 43rd in the ranking of the top 400 U.S. contractors

OHL USA, the OHL Group’s U.S. subsidiary, has placed 43^rd in the ranking of the top 400 U.S. contractors prepared by the magazine, Engineering News-Record (ENR), and is the first subsidiary wholly owned by a Spanish construction firm to appear in this classification.

OHL USA has moved up twelve points in the 2015 ranking with respect to the previous year, on obtaining revenues of 1.3 billion euros (1.4 billion dollars).

In addition, the OHL subsidiary ranks 54^th among the U.S. contractors that obtained the largest number of new contracts in 2015, with a backlog worth 1 billion euros (1.2 billion dollars).

Within the framework of the general overview of U.S. contractors, the publication prepares a specific ranking that includes the best fifty companies in the sector with an international projection, that is, those that expand from the U.S. market to other markets. OHL USA ranked No. 20 in this top 50, the only subsidiary 100%-owned by a Spanish construction firm on this list.

The OHL Group has had a presence in the U.S. market since 2006. At the present time, OHL operates in nine States: Florida, New York, New Jersey, Texas, California, Illinois, Connecticut, Virginia, Massachusetts and in the District of Columbia.   

At the close of accounts for 2015, the sales generated in the U.S. and Canada totaled 1 billion euros, 24% of OHL’s total figure, making that region the Group’s number one market in terms of sales. The total sales of the company at the end of 2015 were placed at 4.4 billion euros.
