OHL was awarded the construction of a photovoltaic plant in Spain worth more than €40 million

OHL, through its Industrial area, has been awarded the project that includes the construction of the photovoltaic plant in Huéneja (Granada) in Spain, with up to 150 MW worth more than €40 million. With this award, OHL has strengthened its position in the renewable energy sector with projects with total installed power of nearly 1000 MW using different technologies, in countries such as USA, Mexico, Chile, Uruguay, Spain, Italy and Jordan.

The contract has been awarded by Diverxia Infraestructure, an international company developing and executing large infrastructure projects with more than fifteen years of experience in the Renewable Energy sector and with projects under development in different countries such as Spain, Colombia or the United Kingdom. 

The scope of the contract includes the complete Balance of System (BOS) of the photovoltaic plant, including the engineering, construction, commissioning and subsequent operation and maintenance of the plant, including all the work related to the electrical interconnection of the plant with Red Eléctrica Española (REE).

Renewable projects in America, Europe and Asia

In addition to this project, OHL has two contracts in Chile for an amount of €80 million. The Company is currently building an 86 MW photovoltaic plant in the Atacama Region and a 50 MW wind farm in Region VI. These new contracts have increased OHL’s activity in the renewable energy sector, where it has demonstrated its position as one of the leading Spanish contractors.

In the last year, OHL has been awarded renewable energy projects of nearly 300 MW in Chile, Mexico and Spain. These include the 89 MW La Huella photovoltaic plant and the 50 MW La Estrella Wind Farm in Chile, the 37 MW Aguascalientes photovoltaic plant in Mexico and the 50 MW Zafra plant in Spain.
