OHL wins new projects valued at 144 million euros in California

OHL, through its subsidiary OHL USA has been awarded new contracts for a total value of 144 million euros (165 million dollars approximately) in the U.S. state of California.
OHL USA has been awarded the Valencia Water Reclamation Plant Advanced Water Treatment Facility, valued at 75.9 million euros (87.3 million dollars). The project, awarded by Santa Clarita Valley Sanitation District of Los Angeles County, entails the construction of an advanced water treatment facility that will include microfiltration and nanofiltration equipments and an enhanced membrane system. Works also involves the construction of a metal building, an electrical substation, a truck loading station and pump stations, among other facilities.
Also in California, OHL USA has been awarded a new road infrastructure project valued at 67.6 million euros (77.7 million dollars). The scope of this contract, which was awarded by Caltrans, consists of the reconstruction of 10.5 km (6.5 miles) of Highway 101 in King City, the removal and replacement of concrete pavement and the widening of two existing bridges.
OHL has operated in the USA market since 2006. In 2017, OHL USA won the single largest project in the company’s history in the United States, with a budget of 1.2 billion euros (1.3 billion dollars). The project, located in Orange County, California, will improve 25.7 km (16 miles) of Interstate 405, one of the most congested freeways in the state. In addition, last year, the company was awarded a 212 million euro project (253 million dollar) to rehabilitate the Throgs Neck Suspension Bridge in New York, through its subsidiary Judlau Contracting, Inc.
