  • The project includes the duplication of the current N-122 over the first 4 km and the construction of four interchanges, two double viaducts, six overpasses, 24 underpasses, and three retaining walls.
  • Throughout its more than 100-year history, OHLA has carried out roadworks on five continents, with over 6,000 km built.

OHLA in joint venture with ASCH, has begun construction work on a new section of the Autovía del Duero (A-11), between the Langa de Duero bypass and the Aranda de Duero bypass, in the province of Burgos. The project, awarded by the Ministry of Transport and Sustainable Mobility, has a contract value of €149.38 million (excluding VAT) and an execution period of 37 months.

The project involves the construction of a new 22.25-kilometre section that will connect the already completed A-11 sections between Langa de Duero (PK 10+000) and Fresnillo de las Dueñas (PK 32+249.34). The standard cross-section consists of a dual carriageway with two 3.5 m wide lanes in each direction, inner and outer shoulders, and a 10 m wide median.

The route, mostly bypassing the existing road, includes the duplication of the current N-122 over the first 4 km and the construction of four interchanges, two double viaducts, six overpasses, 24 underpasses, and three retaining walls. The total volume of excavation exceeds 4.8 million cubic meters, reflecting the magnitude and technical complexity of the project.

Throughout its more than a century-long history, OHLA has carried out road infrastructure projects across five continents, with more than 6,000 km built and the capacity to undertake the entire project lifecycle—from design and construction to financing, operation, and maintenance.

Recently, the Group was also awarded a major project in the Czech Republic to expand and modernize the D1 motorway in Brno, one of the country’s busiest road junctions.
