OHLA, a global infrastructure company, has successfully completed the construction of the Vithas Valencia Turia Hospital, a key project in the region’s healthcare sector, with an investment of approximately 40 million euros and a total usable area of 27,241 m².

The new hospital, which strengthens the healthcare infrastructure of the Valencian Community, consists of two underground levels designated for parking and other services, as well as six above-ground floors for hospital use. Its facilities include specialized areas such as operating rooms, ICUs, imaging diagnostics, emergency services, outpatient consultations, hospitalization, and recovery and outpatient surgery units, in addition to general services such as pharmacy, laboratory, and physiotherapy.

Equipped with state-of-the-art medical technology, the hospital ensures top-quality healthcare services. It features 8 operating rooms, specialized units such as UCSI, URPA, ICU, and a day hospital, along with a radiology area fitted with MRI, CT scans, ultrasound, fluoroscopy, dental CT, mammography, and densitometry. The hospital also includes essential services such as pharmacy, sterilization, and pediatric emergency care, as well as a hospitalization area with 64 rooms, 4 of which are isolation rooms. Additionally, the facility incorporates a photovoltaic system with 244 panels and a parking area with 291 car spaces, 22 motorcycle spaces, 8 electric vehicle spaces, and 168 bicycle spaces.

The hospital has been designed following strict accessibility and efficiency standards, ensuring optimal circulation for both patients and medical professionals. The main lobby, centrally located within the building, directs pedestrian flow from various access points, seamlessly connecting with public roads and surrounding landscaped areas through an accessible pathway.

With nearly a century of experience in the hospital construction sector, OHLA has developed more than 150 new hospitals across America, Europe, and Asia, totaling over 8.5 million square meters and 60,000 beds.

In Spain, the company has contributed to the construction of major hospitals such as those in Burgos, Toledo, Ciudad Real, and Arganda del Rey (Madrid). With the completion of the Vithas Valencia Turia Hospital, OHLA reaffirms its leadership in building cutting-edge healthcare infrastructure, enhancing the quality and accessibility of medical care in Spain.

OHLA’s strong position in the hospital construction sector has been globally recognized with prestigious awards. In 2023, the renowned publication Engineering News-Record (ENR) granted an Award of Merit to the Curicó Hospital (Chile) in its Global Best Projects Awards. A year later, in 2024, ENR once again acknowledged OHLA’s excellence in healthcare infrastructure by recognizing the construction of the Sullana Hospital (Peru) as one of the best projects of the year.
