OHLA grows in the Czech Republic through its participation in several contracts worth close to 60 million euros.
Specifically, it will carry out the second phase of the project for the extension and reconstruction of the pavilion for the emergency area of the České Budejovice Hospital. The contract, awarded for nearly 35 million euros, includes improvements to the building, which will be equipped with six operating rooms, a recovery room, an intensive care unit, anesthesiology and resuscitation areas, as well as orthopedic, plastic surgery and ophthalmology units, among others. The new emergency ward will also feature an advanced metering and control system that will help reduce energy consumption and carbon footprint.
OHLA will also implement the project to improve the energy efficiency of the hospitalization block of the Ostrava University Hospital. The work will reduce energy consumption for heating the building and increase the thermal comfort of patients.

The main objective of the work is the repair of six structures including two main viaducts and four adjacent bridge ramps.
These contracts join others awarded in recent months, such as the electrification of the railway section between the towns of Strelice and Zastávka, located in the Brno district. The initiative, which covers a total of 10 kilometers and includes works on the superstructure and substructure, is part of the railway line between Brno and Jihlava and has a budget of close to 110 million euros.
It is also making progress on the reconstruction of the Vsetín railroad station, the double line of the Adamov-Blansko section, the extension of the Brno Great Urban Ring Road and the reconstruction of the railway bridge over the Svitava river and the road II/374 on the Brno-Maloměřice St.6 – Adamov, BC project, for a total amount of more than 300 million euros.
