EPC (Engineering, Procurement and Construction) project for a cogeneration plant in Coatzacoalcos, Veracruz (Mexico), with gross power of 60 megawatts (MW) and export capacity of 65 tons/hour of over-heated steam (40 bar pressure and 254 degrees centigrade (°C). Its performance is higher than that of a conventional plant (80 %).
Installations
- Aero-derivative gas turbine Trent 60 (Rolls-Royce)
- By-pass stack
- Heat recovery boiler (HRSG)
Benefits for the community
- Lower production costs
- Minimized environmental impact: the use of natural gas as a fuel entail lower emissions of carbon dioxide (CO2)
